i must say, i don't have any speakers connected to my pioneer plasma, i just
have the media box and screen as i have a seperate surround setup, but the
tv still lets me turn the volume up and down and mute, even though it
obviously has no effect. the media box connects to my amp by fibre optic
cable, so you would have thought if it could accept hdmi audio it could spit
it back out to the amp, as it spits freeview and the other scarts out that
way. i haven't went through every possible setup option, but then i do have
a life. i guess i'll muck around a bit over the weekend with options and get
it touch with samsung and pioneer next week once i've exhausted the
possibilities
thanx for your help though
