He mentioned this in an interview at some stage and it stuck in my head
because described the programme without mentioning the name.
Curiosity got the better of me and I looked it up on the Net. :-)
Fletcher was Ronnie's favourite character but there's a distinction between
favourite character and best performance and maybe Ronnie had this in mind
when he made these comments.
As I said I haven't seen it myself but if this reviewers thoughts are
anything to go by then clearly Ronnie's thoughts weren't far off the mark.

It would be amazing if it turned up some day like the lost Steptoes but
somehow I think this one's gone forever mores the pity as at least I'd seen
Clarence before.
