This made me think...I need to speak to my dad, from 1977 to 1983 I dragged
my dad to the cinema to see every sci-fi film ever made, classics like
Blade Runner and Star Wars, but also dross like this Flash Gordon and other
films I can't remember the titles to, and I reveled in all of them, but to
this day I don't know what my dad thought about any of them, he came, he
sat, he endured, but as a kid I never asked his opinion and he never gave
it, he just took me...week after week.
I only ever remember comments about noise, he never liked the noisy ones
;-) I remember seeing Battlestar Galactica on either the Futura or the
Scarla(sic) in Liverpool, and it had one hell of a sound system, including
sub woofers, and whenever you saw the battlestar, the rummble was stunning,
but my dad just complained ;-)
I just need to ask him if he ever liked any of them, and if not, why didn't
he make my mum take me ;-)
