Post to uk.legal?
Might also be an idea to speak to your insurance company to make them
aware you believe a claim may be pending in the future. They
(obviously not wanting this) may be able to advise on your legal
rights. I would imagine your IC would want to offload any claim to
his.
If you took out legal protection in your home insurance, they'll also
be a good source of advise.
