I suspect you are adding to the confusion? I am as sure as I can be that the
buffer is lost when you change channels. If that wasnt the case my Sky disk
would have been filled up ages ago. (I have instant rewind set for 15 mins
so if what you say is true I'd expect to have *lot* of 15 minute and shorter
segments of programs lying around. (For the OP , you can set how long the
buffer should be)
AIUI if you hit 'record' it will then dump whats in the buffer to the
recording but if you just change channels, its gone.
copied to uk.media.tv.sky as I cant test it at the mo.
