The LG RH7500 DVD/HDD Recorder can easily be made into a multiregion
machine by doing the following (this applies to original Region 2 UK
units):
1. Insert a region 1 disc
2. When the warning appears eject the disc
3. As the tray is popping out press '0' on the remote seven times
4. You should see a message saying something like 'Congratulations.
Region Free.'
And that's it. It works.
I got the RH 7500 today from Currys for £249.99. First impressions
tell em that this unit is not as good as my Pioneers. For example the
SQ mode (2 hours on a standard 4.7Gb DVD) is not up to the same
picture quality as Pioneer. However, for about £250 I am not
complaining. The Pioneers were all nearly double the LG's price.
