Well, not personally, but I did read his weekly column in the Sunday
Mails supplement every week for a couple of years before the
transplant. He was waiting death. He seemed to be swearing he'd never
drink again. He hoped so much for a liver.
I read his columns going "ok, so he's a worth recipient of his liver".
Six months later. Down the pub.
So I know a little more about than you do. So I think I can safely
judge him. Having read his own words. In which he lied.
