No but if I said "Red Dwarf 4" you would know I meant series 4 and not
episode 4 of a particular Series in the way that SW fans would
associate the name "episode III with SW. The new series of starwars
films are commonly referred to by just the Episode numbers, it works
partly because I don't think there is another mainstream series that
uses the word "Episode" to define parts of the story.
Look at it this way; if you didn't know what the OP meant by Episode
III then you almost certainly couldn't answer his query anyway and his
post wasn't aimed at you in the first place.
