Right, and that's only for removable media like DVD recorders *and* there
is no standard for what in an analog video signal would trigger it. And,
even if there were, it's pretty easy to strip everything but the actual
video and audio from analog signals.

Last, since the broadcast flag is *only* for digital TV and *only*
protects against Internet distribution *and* is either "on" or "off", it
won't stop recording on even a compliant device. It won't even stop
you from burning it to a DVD, since that requires a loss of resolution.

And, with all the various protections that HD-DVD and BluRay will have
that can tie a disc to a single player, the broadcast flag won't stop
you from burning an HD-DVD of marked content. You might only be able to
play it on that player, but you could burn it.
