Seasons 2 and 3 are probably best. Season 1 isn't widescreen, and the
actors characterisations are a bit wobbly in the early episodes.
Amazon.co.uk has complete boxsets for just over 30 quid. Season 4 has
the best CSI episode ever made, but S4 is still only available as
half-sets.

Scuba Doobie Doo (s2) - urban myth episode
Slaves of Las Vegas (s2) - meeting lady heather
A Little Murder (s3) - killing at a dwarf convention
Lady Heather's Box (s3) - back to lady heathers domain.
Fur and Loathing (s4) - hilarious and intriguing
If there's a chance they might get hooked, I'd buy them season 2.
Great picture quality on the DVDs, BTW. I have both s2 and s3.
