tv recording dimensions
I would like to make a divx file out of my dvd video recorded with my
DVD recorder. When I load the disc the video size and aspect ratio is
ok, but when I rip a piece of it into a divx, black stripes appear on
all side, especially on top and bottom of the video. They are about 70
pixels wide. What do I have to do? I dont think that it has anything to
do with divx settings because if I make a VCD or SVCD (mpg) I get the
same results. I tried several programs the latest of wich is Magic DVD
Ripper. I tried some settings in divx concerning cropping the image and
it seemed to work, but I dont believe this is the way (in addition to
that I got an alert message about incorrect DIVX setting which I passed,
but I dont like it)
