That might have been true a while back, but certainly isn't any
longer. The vast majority of post-production gear runs on PCs now.
For example, the Avid editing system runs on Windows2000 machines, as
Apple shot them in the foot by reducing the number of PCI slots in
their machines a few years back, making them unsuitable for use as
editing machines.
