because all new sets should have a hdmi connector. its basically the new
replacement for scart.
the cheaper sets will have a hdmi connector but are not hd the more
expensive sets have a hdmi connector and can display hd.
not everyone might want/can afford hd but they still want to connect their
dvd player etc in the future using the hdmi connector/lead.
the other thing to watch for now is just how many hdmi connectors the set
has, early ones all have one, all the new sets have
at least 2. soon they will have 3 so you can connect all your kit using
hdmi.
