I've got to add my little bit to this discussion, as regards DVD Pacific.
I too am a refugee from the DVDSoon debacle, and i have been using DVD
Pacific for about 4 or 5 months now. I probably order around 4 or 5 DVD's a
month, and in that time, i haven't received one DVD in less than 4 weeks,
that's about 15-16 discs and 10 or so on the way. From them e-mailing to
tell me it's been dispatched (Or to paraphrase "it will be shipped within 24
hours") to receiving the disc is always over 4 weeks.
The weird part is that only twice has it taken longer than 5 weeks though.
They nearly always arrive in that fifth week...
I've never had those kind of delivery times with the other firms i've used
like DVD Soon, ABSound, etc....(What was that old one, reel.com or
something), unless there's been a problem with customs putting a charge on
or something.
But they are my company of choice at the moment, i just know to allow a
little longer for things to arrive. and that if i need it speedier, i go to
Play and pay a bit more....No probs..
So while i accept that something seems awry with the postage, and i don't
just think it's down to the post in general, more particularly the company
they use, i still think they are the number one firm at the moment.
Just my opinion, for what it's worth.
