Thank you for your replies.
I didn't want to buy another VCR just to play the relatively small
number of home video recordings I have on cassette. Transferring those
recordings onto DVD seemed like a much better option. I especially
liked the idea of having another copy of my recordings on something
that's not goingto get chewed up the next time I play it.
As I mentioned before, I tried doing the transfer myself using my son's
VCR and my new DVD recorder but found the process time-consuming and
fidley and the recordings much less professionally looking than those
on the DVD from www.yourvideosondvd.co.uk. Their DVD also came in a
case with a proper printed DVD cover which looks much better than my
sticky label on a DVD case.
