We can get TYs for 35 cents.
The question of affordability is a matter of the intended use. If you
are burning a disc for one-time use, then go cheap. Use Decrypter with
Verify and even if you throw away 10-20% so what - you still come out
ahead because they are so cheap. But if you are building an archive of
favorites, then you want them to play over the long term and the only
disc I know where you have a decent chance of that happening is Taiyo
Yuden brand. The cheapest discs go for as little as 20 cents and after
you throw 20% away they cost about 25 cents. You can get 8x TYs for 35
cents so that means it costs you an extra 10 cents for longevity.
