Nothing to do with anything else in this thread, but you just reminded me of
something funny...
A group of us were sitting in a pub a few years back. There was a picture of
Lenin on the wall in an officious half-profile that is possibly the only way
he allowed himself be portrayed.
A girl (well in her mid-twenties) who was with us looked up and asked who it
was in the picture/drawing/painting (can't remember which it was). Someone
told her it was Lenin. She said "Oh."
Her boyfriend hadn't been paying attention to the answer. He now turned his
gaze and asked "*who* is it?"
She nodded at the wall. "That's John Lennon," she knowingly informed him.
"Oh," he said.
