Hi, I have at the moment a acoustic solutions DS1233 surround sound
system, connected to a Medion MD 41059 DVD player, and I'm trying to get
a balanced surround sound... The set-up is as follows:
Righto, The TV is 10ft from my sofa, and the speakers are placed here:
the centre speaker is on top of the TV, 10 ft away from the sofa, the
F/L F/R speakers are 10ft away from the sofa, with the woofer by the
side of the TV, again, 10ft away from the sofa. The rear L and rear R
speakers sit alongside the sofa, say about 2ft from me.
each speaker has a 5db output, apart from the woofer which has 4db.
Now, I can change the distance, the output, and the size ( small/large)
from the control panel on the DVD player, while I can change the volume
of the centre, rear, and woofer, from the acoustic solutions 5.1
surround system
Am I right to assume that you measure the distance of the speakers from
you, to each speaker? or do you measure the distance from the DVD/TV to
the speaker? Which is the best solution to set-up the speakers? is there
anything on the web that might help?
Graham
