The maximum discount was 20% to Platinum members (who spend >$5000 a
year) plus free shipping.
Platinum members (and I was one of them) also scored quadruple (x4)
ipoints so it was very easy to gets lots of free stuff (I think I got
4 Kill Bill Shirts, 1 Spongebob Squarepants pillow, 1 set of 15 golf
balls, and 2 crappy tupac magnetic poetry sets)
The problem was that Platinum members spent a lot of money with
DVDSoon and as such tended to have a huge number of pending orders. I
had over $1000 pending when they went funny around May/June but
managed to use some up and got chargebacks on others. I lost $300 at
the end of the day.
I still came out on top given the savings I made on the whole but am
annoyed with their actions.
