I'm thinking of getting a 23" monitor. They are all *very* expensive,
from what I can see from the net, though obviously Apple / Sony are the
standouts in this direction with their extra quality.
However, if all I really want it for is a bigger display (I work from
home and it would make it easier) would it not be much more economical
to buy a 23" or even a 26" TV which can also be used as a PC monitor?
For instance, I've read a good review of a Samsung 26" HD ready (as a
bonus) TV with a PC input, and it's £300 cheaper than an Apple 23"
monitor.
So, what am I missing here? I could get a 26" monitor which doubles as
an HD ready integrated digital TV for about £650 or a 23" monitor which
doesn't double as a TV for £950.
Is it that the monitor has a better screen res? If so, that doesn't
worry me. I'm looking more for processing data than creating web-sites,
watching DVDs and editing photos.
Or is it something else?
Clue me in, please, Santa!!
