Dave, I have a Panasonic DMR-E85H DVD Recorder with Hard Drive (multi-region) and I think it's
great, and the wife took to using it like a duck to water. There are bigger and better models out
now but this was the best I could afford at the time (early last year). I like Panasonic and but
i've also heard that Pioneers are good. So i'd opt for one of these manufactures.
