VOB is MPEG, TDA has option to convert (rename) back to .MPG extension and
it won't take any longer than copying time. If you won't want to mess with
TDA (it requires standard working DVD in order to read the chapter option),
you can use util lile "Windows Explorer" to Copy and Rename to .MPG

VOB is a container for mpeg 1 and mpeg 2 video 48khz audio that can be many
different formats. Its not really accurate to say that VOB is mpeg...it can
be misleading to lots of uninformed folks.. and there are plenty of them
that come here for help...

The only proper way to get the mpeg video and/or audio out of the VOB
container is to demux the streams you want.
