Back when they were futureent, they had the most disgusting excuse for
customer service I've seen in any company. They even went so far as creating
an editorial-type column and boasting of awards called "Maureens" that they
gave to customers who complained.
My own issue with them went back further than that, so I never got a
Maureen. I paid them for the Lonesome Dove boxset. Months later they still
hadn't provided it. Their replies to my queries grew evermore snooty.
Eventually, I believe I traded the money I had spent for something that they
could provide. But they ended up banning me from their site forevermore
(must've bin done on ip address or something, because baskets, etc. wouldn't
work -when I checked out of curiosity).
As if I would have gone back!
I dunno if my ban still stands now that they have a different name. Possibly
they have new management and staff. But still, I'd never risk giving money
to the same assholes that were there.
