OK, I'm looking for the title name to some music that appeared in a horror
film compilation (Hammer Horror compilation/Tales Trom The Crypt type of
stuff?). I can't remember what the film was called but it contained 4 or 5
short "horror" stories. We're probably talking about the middle to late '70s
here.
One of the stories concerned a little boy who doted on his father. For some
reason his father used to go out every evening to "work". The family never
told the little boy what his job was, but it transpired that the boy
discovered his father was a vampire. It was quite a light-hearted story. I'm
sure the father was played by a famous '50s/'60s British actor, but again I
can't put a name to him. I have very vague memories of the father being a
Richard Todd (in his '70s) kind of actor.
Anyway, there was some music in this particular story which was some kind of
gypsy violin track and that's the track I would like to hunt down.
Any help would be appreciated.
Steve.
