Hi Guys
I noticed this post about the SSL warnings on the SVP website and
thought I'd let you know what's going on.
On our old website and on our new website all credit card info was
secured in SSL via a card payment company called www.secpay.com.
On the new site we are also going to take you into SSL for areas where
you type in persoanl details like name, address, phone number. It's
not really essential that these details are entered in SSL, but a few
customers have asked for it, and I suppose you can never be too secure
on the Internet!
This means we've applied for and now have our own SSL certificate which
is being put live on the site this week (24th and 25th Jan 2006).
While the change is taking place on 24th and 25th you may see some
browser warnings which is what's mentioned in this thread, but they
will be gone within a day or 2.
Hope that puts your mind at rest about SVP and the new website. It's
faster and now more secure than ever, and it was already very fast and
very secure in the first place:)
Any other feedback on the new site is appreciated, either here or mail
me on steve@s v p co uk (remove spaces)
