Any ideas what I can use to convert "standard" mpg files to DVD format
- I came across something online (you can`t buy it, otherwise I would)
and would like to burn them for posterity :-}
It was originally in AVI format - Nero would accept that quite happily
and offer to convert them, but it locked up for some reason while
doing it.
I discovered one of the AVIs was damaged, so used divfix (?) which
managed to repair the frames and enabled it to be played normally with
mediaplayer - Nero still wouldn`t accept the fixed file...
As an attempted work-around, I threw them through tmpgenc and
converted them all to low-ish quality mpg files (quality isn`t
particularly an issue), but i`m at a bit of a loss knowing what I can
throw the now perfectly formed mpg files at to allow me to create a
DVD image :-}
Nero refuses to touch the new mpgs, but i`ve been able to get it to
accept an older mpg without issue - i`m just a bit perplexed :-} -
about the only thing I can think of that may be different is the audio
rate - I believe it may be 44MHz on the "new" mpgs, and Nero wants
48Mhz ?!?
Guesses / suggestions welcome :-}
