How do people find media nowadays?
I do copy dvds from the online rental place I subscribe to. In effect
to timeshift them, I don't resell them or keep them after watching and
if I like the movie I buy it (not many I really liked so far, but what
the hey).
I got to the end of my 4x/2x Datawrite discs which served me well when
written on one DVD-RW drive at 2 speed (capable of 8x), very little
objections by the DVD player... I then couldn't find any discs which
write at 2 speed, so I tried 8 speed ones and wrote at the slowest
speed, 4x.
They're virtually useless in any other machine....
I'd buy a new drive if it improved anything, but I really want 2 speed
because that works with my drive... Anyone hit this wall? Did they
solve it?
(I know media is hit and miss, but for gods sake, 5 years since DVD-Rs
really took off and the media is still screwed... Or has it?)
