Perhaps a more useful question would be:
Can you see any difference shooting HD, or HDV, and
down-converting it to SD as opposed to shooting SD?
I'd guess that down-converted HD might have a
chance of being better (the fact that you would be
using a $100,000 camera might be the key :-).
HDV id more iffy partially due to the compression,
and partially due to the inexpensive cameras.
