That means that your codec alters the video. Different codecs have
different priorities on how to render the video back. When Microsoft came
with their first generation DV-codecs, the change was enormous, and became
even more "fun" if you started rendering out multiple generations. Some
codecs prefer sharpness, other colour-richness on rendering. You might try
to choose a different codec, which doesn't alter the video that much. The
Canopus, Matrox and the Mainconcept codecs are known for their excellent
render-qualities.
