I suspect it's more complex than that.
The CCD sections of camera's often use the vertical blanking time to move
data around in the chip.
So it's not asy to assume the CDD is not exposed at all during that period.
Also shutter will make a significant difference as it discards image
captured before capturing just for the short duration chosen.
