Clearly its not a black or white answer as you put the question. Don't you
think US foreign policy over many decades leaves a lot to be desired? Don't
you think these might just something to do with the "interrruption" to world
peace?
Its clearly not all the US government's fault either as there clearly is a
nasty little ideology within the margins Muslim community. Current US
foreign policy does nothing to marginalise the Islamists but rather boulster
their popularity amongst the young, stupid and impressionable.
What I fail to understand is the amount of support there is for the antics
of the right-wing by the american public. The invasion was based on a lie
or at least a complete failing in so called intelligence. "No WMD? No
worries at least we've got rid of Saddam!" is all that's needed to justify
the deaths of over 100000 people and many more continue to die each day.
Even Saddam didn't manage to kill as many people as that even with his
ruthless efficiency.
By any measure the War on Terror is an utter failure if reducing world
terror was the aim. But, hey we're not all that blinkered to believe that
was the aim are we?
