I'm about to buy the first of two Final Cut Pro NLEs for an access
studio. My Board and I feel that FCP is the best option, as it offers a
lot of power for the price and is the defacto NLE standard at this
level.
We plan on buying a G5 dual 2.7 ghz, 512mb DDR400 SDRAM, 250gb serial
ATA-7200rpm ATI Raedon 9650 w256mb DDR SDRAM, 1gb DDR400 SDRAM upgrade,
16x double layer drive, keys, mouse, 20" monitor, OSX.
Final Cut Studio (FCP5, DVD Studio Pro 4, Motion 2, Soundtrack Pro)and
a few peripherals. Board says I'm good up to about $7500.
Am I on the right track here?
A friend uses almost the same system for weddings and says he has
problems, and has switched back to an earlier system. What say you?
