Can you see any monitor in daylight? It's all about the shading. In the
past I've used black wrap to make a hood and that worked pretty well. I
also made an upside down mount for the rear of the camera plate where
there is naturally shade. The use for these little monitors is when you
have to pack up your gear and get on an airplane. Lugging my 9" iki or
sony and letting the samsonite gorilla toss it around is very
unappealing!!! Rolling my 80lb light kit around is enough to make me
look at making things lighter any way I can.
