I just purchased a PAL FX1, in a bit of a hurry an hour or two ago
(and the Sony 0.8x wide to go with it). Our VX2000 is currently
broken and I have a multi cam shoot to do in a matter of hours. [I'm
reading the FX1 handbook as fast as I can :-) ]
The other cameras will shoot 4:3 standard DV.
I thought I saw someone on the ng suggest that it was better to shoot
the FX1 in HDV, then down convert to 4:3 for the capture. But I also
seem to recall someone else saying only the Z1 will shoot 4:3 standard
DV, but not the FX1 - can't find the post at the moment.
Anybody able to give me the benefit of their experience in this
situation? What shooting mode should the FX1 be in to get the optimum
standard PAL DV (720x576).
TIA,
Hughy
