Well, he might need all that but it doesn't need to be in the video
card. My point is that even with an AIW card in my machine, I never use
those capabilities because I run the analog signal from the
VCR/Hi8/whatever into my Canon camera and pass it through the firewire
port directly into my capture program as a digital stream. I can and
have done exactly the same level of quality captures with computers with
plain jane integrated video. Don't mean to be argumentative, you have
your way of doing things, I have mine.
