Hi Anton -

It struck me I was staring at this option yesterday in windows
MovieMaker (5.1) - I gues you have that if you've got an XP PC.

I noticed an option to "output to camera" which is intended to send a
video *back* to a DV-in DV camera. If it did that, it would have to
convert to DV-AVI (since the rest of the program outputs windows
media, this would be an oddity).

Anyway - maybe there's a shortcut here *if* the Pinnacle movie DV box
looks like a camera to movie maker : I'd try -

1) Import AVI to Moviemaker
2) Edit movie (do nothing, just drag clip to timeline)
3) Finish Movie (Send to DV camera)

Step 3 would require your box connected to DV, if MM recognises it as
a DV input device then it might well *just send the file* and you'd be
done.

I'm sure there must be small utilities somewhere to send an AVI to a
DV output, but I don't remember seeing any offhand, so thats' the best
I can suggest. Maybe it's good enough at 3am there to get you moving
;-)

HTH
Cheers - Neil
