Top of the range Supermicro, Dual processor XEON's. Everything at the
latest and biggest specification. You get what you pay for. These days
even the highest quality hardware for an excellent PC based edit system
really is not that expensive if you're a professional or have
aspirations to be one.
Real time processing, High Definition and HDV, Firewire, SDI, Component
analogue, Y/C and composite interfaces etc., etc., can all be had for a
mere bagatelle, certainly less than $5,000 for a system that compares
shockingly well to some of the six figure megabuck facilities currently
on the way to extinction.
