 Capturing a DV stream into an AVI-DV file is a straight
 transfer of the ones and zeroes into a computer file. No
 additonal compression is done.  DV itself is lossy (5:1
 compression), but no additonal compression takes place
 in most DV capture programs including Scenalyzer.
