8mm projectors didn't have a video out because in the early stages video
hadn't been invented yet.
Not sure whether 8mm had sound either, maybe in the later stages it did.
You will need a 8mm projector and a gadget box that allows you to
project the 8mm images into it and on another part of that box you will
have your DV video recorder, recording those images.
Another way is to project the 8mm projector onto a very good quality
screen you may be able to hire, and DV video it there. Don't get a
large screen as it will stretch the images.
Can't recall what the gadget is called, but they are not expensive.
Maybe others have a better idea.
