If you're only looking to go just the one direction, analog to IEEE
1394, then I'd go with the Canopus ACVC-55, it's a great little
converter for just over $200. The bidirectional ADVC-110 is just a
few bucks more.
The old Pinnacle DV500 cards with breakout boxes weren't bad either for
their time. You can probably pick up a used one for next to nothing.
