That is probably an erroneous assumption. There is no magic or anything to
editing HDV. It is simply another codec. That's all. From reading Richards
posts over the years I can assume he gets it. Clearly.

ULead is not viewed as a professioanl app. There is a reason for that.
And again.. HDV editing is nothing new. We have always been dealing with new
formats as they arrive. Over the last 15 years there have been a few. HDV is
just another codec. And one I don't intend to embrace. Its messy and slow
and working with it sucks. On Any platform. I don't know what they were
thinking.
