But it captures OK? It would be very helpful to tell
us what kind of camcorder, VCR, computer hardware
you are using.

If you have the firewire device (camcorder or VCR)
connected while playing back, Premiere may be trying
to play the video and audio through the firewire instead
on through the computer screen and speakers. Try turning
off the camcorder/VCR or at least disconnecting the
Firewire cable.
