Richard Crowley:
> Did you say you had two computer screens?

James C. Allison:
Yes. Both connected to a Matrox Millennium G450 DualHead.

RC:
> Did you try positioning the capture window in both of the screens?

JCA:
No! It never occurred to me to do so. When I click File > Capture > Movie
the MovieCapture window appears on the Right monitor, while the rest of
Premiere is on the Left monitor. Tell, you what, I'll go give that a try
right now... Will be right back.

Alright, it's about five minutes later, and I have to tell you... Richard
you are a GENIUS!!! That was IT! Moved the MovieCaptureWindow to the Left
screen, and there it was! Big as LIFE! :) Mannn... Am I ever getting an
education! :)

RC:

JCA:
Well, now so have I! But it would never have occurred to me to do that.

RC:

> video ought to be?
Yes. But NOT with any of the Matrox software chosen. This is with the
GenericFirewire stuff. I'm convinced that with the Matrox stuff, the DV
devices have to be in "Sounds, Video, and Multimedia" not in "Imaging
Devices". And my efforts to move the DV devices were futile, as I reported
this morning.

JCA:
Richard, you have lost me with the term "video overlay". But the main thing
now is, that I can get the damned pebble out of my shoe, so to speak.
Everything is working just fine, thanks to your astute and experienced
suggestion.

RC:

JCA:
The "BEST!"

RC:

JCA:
Let me think about that, and get back to you. You see, I have a 16 Channel
Yamaha Mixer connected to the 8 ins and the 8 outs of the Delta. And all
that is connected to the ConcertSoundSystem that I used when I used to do
live performances. I also have a MIDI set up, which connects to the Delta.

When I put the Delta into the system, the local ComputerGooRoo (whom I have
dubbed: Bubba ROM DOS) said to leave the Audigy in unless I needed the slot.
But you are right, the sound out of the Delta is miles better than the
Audigy.

Well, Richard... I'm going to add you to my list of Internet Heros...

BTW, I'm in Onalaska, Texas. I live in what is called: "The Deep East Texas
Pineywood Forest", the biggest stand of pine trees in the world. Onalaska is
between Huntsville (the Capital Punishment/ Execution Capital of the World),
and Livingston, on beautiful Lake Livingston, the second largest lake in
Texas. And that's the reason that the computer GooRoo here is called
"Bubba"! Just a little humor there! :)

So thank you so very much for finally clearing up this one little glitch.
It's onward through the fog!

Hope you are well.

Regards

Allison
