Don't forget to use http://groups.google.com to research
the archives for those newsgroups. I'd be that you are not
the first person to have this problem or ask about it in
Usenet. It may take a few iterations to come up with the
optimal search parameters (key-words, etc.)
Even if you can't find that specific question asked/answered,
it might give you a better sense of *where* RT2500 matters
were regularly discussed.
And you could even note the "handles" (screen-names and/
or email addresses) of people who were answering similar
questions so you can research THEM to see if they are still
online somewhere.
