Firstly, there is no such thing as true color correction in Final Cut
Pro. FCP merely has filters that it more or less lays on top of the
video to create the appearance you are looking for. True color
correction is done by physically altering the "wave" that makes up the
video singal. To my knowledge avid is the only company that does that.

Secondly, After Effects and Avid both have a number of plugins
available that do exactly what your looking for.
