Oh for heaven's sake.
Save a copy of your current project somewhere safe.
The open the incorrect file, select all your clips in the browser and
invoke make offline from the menu. (It's in the manual!)
Save this timeline into a new project with any project settings (frame
rate) you like.
Then re-batch capture all your clips from your field tapes at whatever
new native frame rate you like..
That's it.
You're back where you were with all your clips digitized at the new
frame rate.
It's a small hassle. Not the end of the world.
