I have never seen "real" chromakey paint in a spray can, only brush
cans in pints and gallons. It's usually too thick for an airbrush or
rattle can. Spray would, if applied correctly, end up better, but for
the floor vinyl backing, I used foam disposable brushes and rollers and
it was fine. What brand is this paint? If I wanted the "real thing",
there are only three choices in this order: Ultimatte, (the best)
Rosco, and maybe GAM. Now, I have not bothered to use "real'
50-plus-dollar Untimatte paint for some time. But I have access to very
good keyers, and that gives me more latitude. I take a sample to Ace
and have them mix up a computer match in a 10-dollar latex flat, and it
works ok. Then again, I have also used stuff like $5 matte-finished
plastic picnic table runners from the party store with success. I spend
a lot of time on the lighting and I have access to good keyers, and
sometimes even *i* don't get it as perect as I would like. T.G.'s
switcher may or may not be up to the task, but certainly if he has any
sort of computer editing system, he can do it with that.
