Even the simplist task of comparing two products that you own is either
beyond you or just avoided. To make it easy for you I copied this from
the AVID website: http://www.avid.com/products/liquid/whatsnew.asp

Not exactly a comprehensive list of what's new particularly as there was a
whole version number increase. The fact of the matter is that Avid brought
nothing to the Liquid party other than the rebranding. This says a lot of
the Avid attitude toward its (new) customers and the fact users would pay
for a paltry upgrade to get Pinnacle off their splash screens. Get used to
the product stagnation and limitation because that's what you just bought
into.

So you are unable to substantiate the claim. I never once denied the use of
Avid in the film industry I just asked you to prove the 90% claim. So you
were "shooting from the lip" to coin your phrase. I know where Avids are
used and in what sectors and this is precisely the reason they have a
protectionist approach to product development. In a years time let us see
just how much Liquid has been developed in comparison to where it is now and
to the other manufacturer's products. One thing for certain is that Liquid
will not be allowed to take customers away from Avid's system products like
other ambitious products with 3rd party hardware support are doing. Don't
expect Avid to break a sweat for Liquid they never did for Xpress Pro.

Doh, that was my point. Statistics in the hands of the marketing dept. can
allow the fool hardy to believe anything they want to you to believe. Go
see Steve Jobs for a masterclass...

I rest my case......
