It would be helpful to know your geographic location.
I am in the S.F. Bay area and I buy my gaffers tape from
DTC Stage & Studio Supply. They are in Emeryville, CA and their phone
number is 510.595.3456
I use 2" wide, black, economy grade made by Permacel. There are more
expensive grades and I have used them but the economy works fine for
my purposes.
