I'm not familiar with JVC or that model. Another recent
discussion about monitors suggested that a good quality
reference broadcast monitor would cost several thousand
$US. The ones that cost a few hundred $US (like the ones
I use) are OK production monitors, but not necessarily
reliable reference test equipment.
Do you have a waveform monitor? Vector scope?
Video signal generator?
If you are looking for published industry standards on calibration
and viewing, these may be what you are seeking?....
